Join the fun and March for National Music Therapy Awareness Month!
March is National Music Therapy Awareness Month
Music therapy transforms lives every day. Last year, our first annual national March raised $30,000 and supported new music therapy programs in Canada for children with disabilities, young adults with developmental delays and programs in long term care homes.
On March 29, 2015 ten communities across Canada will March again in support of the Canadian Music Therapy Trust Fund and in partnership with the Canadian Association for Music Therapy (CAMT).
Join us and the enthusiastic members of the CAMT who are leading music filled, family-fun community Marches on Sunday March 29, 2015. Help us make some noise to celebrate Music Therapy Awareness Month!
March for yourself, for someone you care about, or for one of the thousands of Canadians who could be helped by music therapy. Did you know that music therapy can reduce anxiety, improve communication skills, increase mobility and promote learning, among many other amazing things?
The funds you raise will support music therapy across Canada, including:
- more clinical programming i.e. for children with autism, youth at risk, adults with brain injury, seniors with Alzheimer’s, dementia or Parkinson’s disease.
- increasing awareness so more people will know that they can benefit from music therapy when faced with life’s challenges.
