REGULATION DISCUSSION FORUM

  • 02 Feb 2013
  • 2:30 AM - 5:30 AM
  • Wilfrid Laurier University - John Aird Building Room A221

In early 2014 psychotherapy will be a regulated profession in Ontario and music therapists will be operating in a new playing field. How will this affect our profession? The MTAO invites you to meet with your peers for an open discussion about how regulation will affect supervision, training, accreditation, employment and much more. The three hour visioning session will be facilitated by Regulation Reps Jill Hedican and Colleen Didur. The MTAO needs the input of a broad perspective of the music therapy community from across Ontario. We hope you are able to attend. We are looking into social media options for those to participate who cannot attend in person.

Date: Saturday February 2, 2013

Time: 2:30

Location: Wilfrid Laurier University (Waterloo, Ontario),  John Aird Building Room A221

Video Conferencing Details: Uncertain at the present moment.  A follow up e-mail will include more details.

 Directions:

1) Enter the campus via the intersection at Hazel Street and University Avenue - the building you can drive under is the John Aird Building

2) Park in any of the pay-to-park lots - some park across the street, but in Waterloo you can be ticketed for parking for 2 consecutive hours on any street (even if it is not marked)

3) Enter the Aird building through the doors under the underpass - the doors on your right when entering the university are best.

4) Take the elevator to the 2nd floor

5) Turn right off the elevator - the room, A221, should be the first one on your right when you leave the elevator.

Sincerely,

MTAO
