Hello Membership!

Our announced accordion workshop will be taking place on Saturday, June 8th from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM in room A318 at Wilfrid Laurier in Waterloo! There are different types of accordion - our instructor, Carolynne O'Neil of Resonate Music Therapy Services, has advised us that she will be teaching 120 Bass: Piano Accordion (stradella) and that button and  freebass accordions will not be taught! The cost of the workshop will be $40 for MTAO members, or $50 for non-members. This is a great opportunity to diversify your practice, catch up with fellow accordion enthusiasts, and have some fun!

Please bring an accordion! If you have an extra accordion that you don't mind letting another member borrow for the workshop, please email Dan (danrose@fermatainc.ca). Likewise, if you are interested in attending but do not have an accordion, email Dan. We will do our best to get an accordion into the hands of every interested party!

Please bring a snack - in the words of Carolynne, "The accordion is a physically demanding instrument and one must work up the muscles to play it for any length of time!" Don't worry, there will be breaks!
